4th Annual People’s Choice Show & Shine
Keeping to the tradition of adjusting the schedule of the weekend to continually improve all aspects of the event, we’ve tweaked the schedule so that the Show & Shine will now be a late-afternoon until early-evening event and will fill up the vast majority of Palace Station’s parking structure! This will allow us to bring back the ever-popular Mount Charleston cruise Saturday morning and also gives people the opportunity to have the vast majority of the weekend on the Palace Station property… you could park your car Friday when you arrive and not have to move it until you leave on Sunday and not miss a beat!
Chicks dig trophies… right? Well, either way, we wanted to make sure that we had an opportunity to recognize the cars and people that put the work in to them. The most important thing to remember about the Show & Shine is simple… IT IS NOT A CAR SHOW! No points, no score sheets, and the people every registered attendee has an opportunity to vote. The last thing we want is for people to be worried about their cars being spotless and perfect instead of concentrating on having a good time!
Make sure to register yourself and any guests so that you’ll be eligible to vote AND be voted on!
For those that have put their blood, sweat, and tears in to building something and would like the chance to be guaranteed to bring home some hardware (not to mention premier/reserved top-level parking), apply for the King of the Desert competition! A mod-list and pictures will need to be sent in along with your application/registration… and if accepted as a contender, you’ll receive an invitation to our the Casting Call GTG! The Casting Call GTG is Friday night for all to attend on the top floor of the parking structure, but only Contenders will be allowed to park/display. We will hand out 10 KOTD invitations and the rest of the contenders will have to find parking elsewhere!
If you are not sure whether your car is “worthy”, APPLY ANYWAYS! It doesn’t hurt to apply (and, of course, is free) and it’s always better for us to have more to choose from…
This year, we want to shine a spotlight on the up-and-coming Air Ride scene for the Euro market… so we’re going to allow all owners with cars on bags to be part of a special display area, also on the top floor of the parking structure. There are no requirements other than you must register with Double Down and you must be on bags…
If you’re in the middle of an install or waiting on parts but plan to have it completed by Wuste2010, send in your registration for Double Down and if there is a problem, contact us to let us know…
